Translate an entire Google Slides presentation from English to Spanish — or Spanish to English — while keeping your slide formatting, layouts, and speaker notes intact.
Live Example
Slide layout, fonts, and images are unchanged. Only text is translated.
How To
Three steps — takes less than 2 minutes to set up, and the translation itself is done in under 30 seconds.
Install the Google Slides Translator add-on from the Google Workspace Marketplace. It's free to get started.
Open your English Google Slides presentation. Go to Extensions → Slides Translator to open the translation panel.
Set the target language to Spanish. Click Translate. Your entire deck is translated in seconds — including speaker notes.
What's Preserved
Our translator changes only the text. Everything else in your presentation is left untouched.
All your slide layouts, text box positions, and background colors remain exactly as they are in the original English version.
Font families, sizes, bold, italic, and color formatting are all preserved after the English-to-Spanish translation.
Photos, icons, shapes, and charts in your slides are not affected by the translation — only text boxes are translated.
Speaker notes are translated from English to Spanish alongside the slide content — your presenter script is ready too.
Links embedded in your slides are preserved as-is. The link text is translated if it's in English, but the URL stays the same.
Numbers, dates, and figures are handled carefully — the translator knows not to change 23% or $1,000 during the Spanish translation.
Pro Tip
Spanish words and sentences are typically 20–30% longer than their English equivalents. After translating, some text boxes may overflow — the text gets cut off or overflows the slide boundary.
After translating, skim through the deck looking for text that is cut off or extends beyond the edge of a slide. These are the only boxes that need adjustment.
Select the overflowing text box and reduce the font size by 1–2pt. In most cases this is enough to fit the longer Spanish text without changing the visual impact.
Drag the bottom handle of the text box to make it taller. For title slides, this is usually the fastest fix and keeps the font size consistent with the rest of the deck.
For headline text, you can manually shorten the translated phrase. Spanish often has more concise alternatives — for example "Resultados" instead of "Los resultados de ventas".

No. Font sizes are preserved. However, translated text in Spanish can sometimes be 10–20% longer than English. If text overflows a text box, you may need to adjust the font size for that text box manually.
To get Spanish slides from an English deck, install the Slides Translator, open the deck, choose Spanish as the target language, and translate. The layout stays the same, and you can then check for longer Spanish text that overflows its box.
